Our Mission Statement
Unity, Advocacy, Support!

The Goals We Hope to Achieve

We, as advocates of the Bariatric Surgeries that changed our lives, are attempting to create a place where people in all stages of their journey can come and find support and encouragement.  All support will be given in a non-judgmental format, with the unification of peer support groups and connecting of people of the same interests.
No bullying or badgering will be permitted.
We hope that the process of centralizing this information and resources will help to guide the OHIP system into common guidelines and standardization for all hospitals and surgeons.
While we do not dispense any medical advice, and do not endorse any products or services, we hope to provide the resources that points you in the direction of things you may find helpful, or we found helpful on our journeys.
We hope that our Annual Meet n Greet will make friendships and connections and dispel the embarrassment and stigma some associate with weight loss surgery.
We want to dispel the MYTH that Weight Loss Surgery is the easy way out. It is, for most of us, probably the most difficult life event we have undertaken that we do for OURSELVES.
And we want to show that WLS is not a death sentence, but an opportunity for reawakening and fun!
We hope that through fundraising we can cover our administration costs and expand the options for our Meet n Greets events in the future.
We hope that our "floating meet n greet", which changes to a different support area in our catchment every year, will allow patients from all over Southern Ontario a chance to attend, participate and enjoy.
